50 High-end Projects Worth 60 Bln Yuan to Help Changsha Pioneering District Progress

Since the establishment of Changsha Pioneering District on the West of the Xiangjiang River, more than 50 high-end service projects have been introduced and developed, with a total investment of over 60 billion yuan. According to its administration committee on August 14, these projects are well under construction, and are expected to be completed within three years. 

In the past five years, the committee has invested 52 billion yuan by the government, mainly used in the construction of infrastructure and ecological environment. Over 100 urban roads were built, with a newly-added traffic mileage of 400 kilometers, and 21 projects concerning water and electricity supply, communication and gas were constructed. Furthermore, more social investment has been injected since last year. On one hand, the advancement of Changsha National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (CHTIDZ), Ningxiang Economic Development Zone and Wangcheng Economic Development Zone was promoted by introducing 2100 projects in high-tech industries and emerging industries of strategic importance, with an investment of 300 billion yuan. On the other hand, 50-odd modern service industry projects are introduced based on the support of four major service industry areas, namely Meixi Lake, Yanghu, Bingjiang and Dawangshan. Among these projects, there are 5 projects with the investment of over 5 billion yuan each, 25 projects with the investment of over 1 billion yuan each. Up till now, 6 projects have been completed and the others are under construction.
